Art Contest 2008:
Deadline: April 14th, at 12pm.
Guidelines: see below
Details:
The Month of May is nationally recognized as skin cancer awareness month and the first Monday in May is known as Melanoma Monday. For several years, in recognition of Melanoma Month, the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation has collaborated with several school districts throughout Florida to hold voluntary contests. This year we would like to invite your school to participate in this contest.
The Sponsoring teacher of each 1st place winner will receive $100, and the Principal of each winning school will be presented with an award. The sponsoring teacher of the second place winners will receive $75, and the sponsoring teacher for the third place winners will receive $50.
Awards will be presented at our Melanoma Awareness Celebration in May 2008, to honor the winning students, teachers, principals and schools. This event will be packed with activities for the students and their families as well as provide free skin cancer screenings by local dermatologist.
It would be our pleasure to meet with you and provide you with information about the activities of the Melanoma Foundation. We thank you for supporting the Melanoma Foundation’s mission to educate about the prevention and early detection of skin cancer thus saving lives. Please feel free to call us with any questions that you may have. |
